So it is officially February, a few months have gone by since we’ve been back from India. Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year has treated me well, but now it’s time to get back to business. I must admit, it was not easy to get back into the American grove of things. India was so chill and then coming back to the States was a total wake up call. Back to reality. It’s time to get back on the grind. So I am currently living at my mom’s house back in Sacramento,CA. It’s been a while since I’ve lived here. I was in L.A. living a fun and independent life for the past 5 years, so moving back in with the mom’s took some getting use to. We have both grown to be very independent and both like doing things in a specific manner. For the past month and 1/2 I have been working on adjusting my attitude so I can accomidate to my mom’s mindset. I have been looking for a job, but there hasn’t been much luck. I would like to take the time to thank my mom for everything she has done for me. She has put a roof over my head and food on my plate, which is all I could ask for. She could be a little less anal on certain things, but then again…that just wouldn’t be Carmela. Gotta love her. Anywho, I just started to take some classes back at the community college. I am debating about going back to the Univeristy to achieve my Masters Degree in Counseling. For now I am currently taking a sewing class and some Early Childhood Development classes to heighten my knowledge for kids. It feels good to be in school, cause it gives me a reason to be out of the house. Other than that, life is good. I have been occassionally hitting up the blackjack tables in order to gain a few bucks. I know it probably isn’t the smartest thing, but at least I’m making money and not lossing much of it. I really do need a job though. So if anyone is interested in higher a talented: counselor, writer, stylist, server, nanny, producer, and everything else in between, I’m your girl.
