Victor

About a year ago in 2008 I got my bachelors degree in radio and television, at San Francisco State University. Then I thought, finally I’m done with school and can just chill for a bit. To my disbelief it was only the beginning. I never thought an opportunity for me to shoot a feature film would come so quickly. So here I am, in the middle of it all, L.A. I was born a few hundred miles north of here in Sacramento, California. On February 8, 1983 I joined the rest of the Lara clan as both the youngest and only boy of a family of 5. Along with my two sisters, Karina and Ivette, my mother and father worked as hard as they could to provide for my family. College degrees were not common in my family, which is why my parents moved to California, to provide us with the best education possible. With English being my second language and Spanish being my first, my El Salvadorian heritage has always been a part of my heart. El Salvador’s tropical climate made it an ideal place to visit.

As I grew older, I ventured into the work force where I attained my first job at In-N-Out Burger in Elk Grove, CA. Flipping burgers and smelling like greasy cheese wasn’t exactly the best trait at In-N-Out, but I did meet some great people. I met, Reena, my best girl friend in 1998. Shortly after I met her other friend Nisha and her sister Sharmila. Within the past few years, we have grown to be more than just friends but a family. I have always been enticed by the Indian culture and can’t wait to make this film. Viva India!!!
